Why did Audi stop doing cool things with the brand logo?

Every time I look at another old school quattro, I always wonder why the new Audi's don't bank on the logos like they used to. I mean putting the quattro script in the defroster? Seat cloths emblazoned with it? The great diff switches? Used to make you feel like you were driving something different from the rest. I have driven so many more recent Audi's that just don't have the same soul anymore because this stuff just isn't there

Because like all major car brands today, the accountants thought it would probably be cheaper. Fucking accountants ruin everything.

I did a 'build your Audi' on their UK site and appears to be a whole different grille, part of the Matt Aluminum Styling Package.

You would then, of course, have to name your RS6 Matt.

I know what you mean. They're still a good car brand, but the whole company smells of industrial-strength antiseptic.

That really stinks (pun intended), because they probably make better cars than they did back when they were punk.
